A BIG Thank you....the team who made DNA UK Leaders

by Dr Paul Thomas 2. July 2008
I have to just say a big public thank you to the people below. If I could have bottled their energy yesterday in regards to the passion in changing traditional thinking I would be rich;

Dr Paul Stevens (former IT VP at GSK.... now a happy free man)
Paul Argile (CEO Flight Directors)
Prof. Elizabeth McMillan (Research Fellow OU)
Dr Ysanne Carlyle (OU)
Paul Byard (CEO MAS Wales)
John Ward (DNA Agent)
Jean Matthews (PhD Glamorgan & DNA Agent)
Kath Ringwald (SL GBS)
Dr Rachel Mason-Jones (The Boss GBS Strategy/Supply Div.)
Andrew Hunt (Senior Consultant)
Prof. Hugh Combs (Accounts - we need one)
Gemma Collins (BBC)
Prof Joyce Liddle (NTU)
Prof Alan Lovel (Head of School GBS)
John Batten (SL & DNA Agent)
David Kerle (JW Morris)
Phil Crocker (DNA Co-ordinator)
Dr Kelly Page (SL Cardiff Business School)
Sue Mittchel (Finance Officer)
Sue Bevan (GBS)

The success experienced yesterday would not have happen if anyone of the above were absent.

THANK YOU!
Paul
PS... the titles don't matter that much....

"A vision is not just a picture of what could be; it is an appeal to our better selves, a call to become something more" Rosabeth Moss Kanter

Of all its successes, I think this - the vision to be something more - in how we view, research and connect in organisations and the social systems within which we coexist, is the key tribute of the hardwork of DNA Wales. Throughout the journey of the last few years we have seen DNA Wales evolve and grow and in reflection the success both abroad and at home without doubt is a tribute to the passion, critical insights, spirited energy and most importantly vision of Paul Thomas (Director/Founder).

Paul, it is clear that this critical journey over the past year without you would have been nothing more than a picture of what could be ... be very proud!

Well done and a big thanks from all conntect with DNA Wales ... now take a holiday would you!!!

:)

Wow... someone is out there...

Hehe.No I don't do vision. All I know is that yesterday the team were just magnificent. The energy and debate in the room was breath taking. I’ve always been a lone voice when in a room with other academics/industrialist. To be in than room yesterday and listen to the argument, belief and passion was wonderful and an honour.

It removed all the doubt I’ve had personally over the past 2 years dealing with quite untrust-worthy people, charlatans, rouges and bureaucrats, that what we are doing is right. It’s so right, even the first day of my holidays I’ve spent working on DNA, not for DNA or me, but to make sure you, the team feel this is working.

I also don’t think I’m wired for holiday or doing nothing. As my father says “you’re a long time dead, so I’ll rest then…”
