DNA agent Jean Matthews was invited to speak at the Diabetes: Your Vision conference sponsored by Diabetes UK, last week. The conference was attended by NHS practitioners across the diverse field of diabetic services in Gwent.
Jean explained how innovation is frequently perceived as someone else’s job but maintained that it is only those with the expertise and experience of front-line services who can transform services. Jean used the principles of Complexity to clarify how the conference provided an excellent forum for connecting interdependent health care professionals from across the primary/secondary health care interface.
