DNA Wales & Exclusive IBM Almaden Institute Conference

Dr. Paul Thomas invited to attend the exclusive IBM Almaden Institute conference on Navigating Complexity: Doing more with less in San Francisco.

In April, Paul Thomas visited the Almaden Institute. The annual event, since 2001, is hosted by IBM at their Almaden Research Centre and aims to bring together eminent, innovative thinkers from academia, government, industry, research labs and the media for an intellectually charged and stimulating dialogue.

The goal of the institute is to ask the tough questions, raise important discussions and prompt significant constructive actions around a contemporary scientific and technological theme. This year the institute examined the issues of complexity theory and doing more with less; looking at the bigger picture in order to create the computing systems of the future.
