DNA Wales is founded on the belief that an organic approach to management practice can give us the best critical insight into the real nature and interaction of organisational behaviour and thus is the key to sustainability of industry in Wales. The DNA Wales team critically examine management, leadership, uncertainty, democracy, risk, knowledge, learning, creativity and agent connectivity in complex human systems.

We encourage and support managers to become more critical about managerial thinking and practice. To question how they manage and how they are managed. To question the managerial practice of command and control and consider alternative approaches. We do this through:

  • Insight generation from critical research, bespoke support and informed resources
  • Education and learning from training and personal development opportunities and management qualifications
  • Networking opportunities with like minded practicing managers and critical researchers at business events

Through critical research, education and networks we bring critical insight to managers and are discovering ways in which natural systems, such as the organisation and people within the organisation are the ‘generators of influence’ and not control.
